CNC-milling research-project | nCloths | TU-braunschweig

this project explores the generation of timebased forms by simulation real physical conditions in a virtual workspace. the materialization is realized by the 5- and 3-axis-CNC-milling-technology.

these forms are all 'physical forms': that means, that they are simulating physical forces like gravity, turbulences, stiffness, friction et cetera. every condition of this process is tentative and ephemeral.

in cooperation with thilo aschmutat, matthias richter, norbert linda, renke abels and the CNC-milling lab of the HAWK-hildesheim.
